Hey y’all! Welcome to What’s Good DeKalb, my little corner of the internet where I round up the events, pop-ups, markets, family fun, and random happenings that make DeKalb… DeKalb.
If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably said, “There is always something going on, but why is it so hard to find all the info in one place?” The flyers be flying, but they be flying everywhere. Facebook groups, IG stories that disappear, somebody mama’s cousin posting a jazz festival in Lithonia at 11pm… it’s too much.
So I decided to fix it.
Why I Started This
Honestly, I was tired of missing events.
Tired of seeing people say, “I wish I knew this was happening!”
And tired of trying to piece together info from five different places.
DeKalb County is huge and diverse. We have festivals, kid-friendly stuff, live music, farmers markets, cultural events, school events, art, food, and all kinds of things that deserve more shine.
This page is my way of making it easier for us to explore what’s right in our own backyard.
What You’ll See Here
I’m keeping it simple and helpful:

Just a straight-to-the-point list of things happening Friday–Sunday.
⭐️ Event Spotlights
Quick features on markets, pop-ups, concerts, family activities, and whatever looks fun.
⭐️ Monthly + Seasonal Guides
Think: December events, summer fun, Juneteenth, fall festivals, etc.
⭐️ Family-Friendly Finds
Because the kids always want to do something.
⭐️ Local Love
Small businesses, local creators, and community organizations I think deserve some attention.
No fluff. No overthinking. Just “here’s what’s going on, here’s why you should slide.”
